OASIS is an independent church that launched in 2008 in Gowerton, West Swansea. We started with a small team of just six people, but have seen many people come to faith. By the start of this academic term we will have seen 24 people baptised. Many others have rediscovered Jesus and have committed to living for God’s glory through Oasis Church. Although we are fresh and new and have a young leadership our congregation is drawn from all ages, we are not self-consciously 'radical' and we are not 'liberal'; conservative Bible teaching is at the core of what we do, as are worship and discipleship.

We currently hold our main meeting on a Saturday morning at 10.30 at the Function Suite of the Con Club in Gowerton (we meet on Saturdays because that is when the premises is available). This main meeting is focused on three elements: teaching, worship and relationships. We also have numerous small groups meeting through the week in various homes.

We believe that the Glory of God is the most attractive thing in life and when God displays His glory, his people find fulfillment. We should live 'to show the greatness of Jesus in everything we do'. We will do that by enjoying Him, finding satisfaction in Him, in His glory. God's glory is displayed all over the earth, creation declares it, and people illustrate it. However, God chooses to exhibit His glory with the most flavour and potency in His Church. Our vision therefore is to build a strong church in Gowerton, a church in which God's glory can be enjoyed by those within and can be seen by others.

Our model is in Acts 2 where the church is founded by focusing on the health of three relationships: 1- Relationship with Jesus. 2- Relationship with Christians. 3- Relationship with non-Christians. By focusing on these three relationships we hope to build a local church in Gowerton and then to plant again.
