tudent ministry at Pantygwydr is exciting! Students form an integral part of the church’s life and make an important contribution to our fellowship and worship, being involved in youth activities, music ministries and house groups. The church welcomes new students and holds a number of student-centred events, including special services where the students themselves participate. The university Baptist Chaplaincy team is also centred at Pantygwydr under the leadership of Pete Orphan, the assistant minister. A member of the Baptist chaplaincy team will be available on campus most Wednesdays.

There is a student lunch rota which enables students to spend time on Sundays with families from within the church. This enables lasting relationships to be developed. The monthly student lunches in the hall at Pantygwydr have now evolved into whole church affairs and this gives added opportunity for students to get to know church members. After church on Sunday evening provides opportunity for further fellowship and discussion in one of the homes within the fellowship.

International Students add a distinctive element to church life and find a particular welcome at Pantygwdr. There is an international house group which meets on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm at 3 Ernald Place (Tel: 01792 413883). International students are welcome to call in at other times and make themselves known. There is also an international choir which performs in various events both in Swansea and beyond.

The church encourages students to get involved in Christian mission. It operates a bursary scheme which provides financial support for students engaging in summer missions. Our aim for students is to develop their maturity in Christ and to equip them for Christian service.
