Student ministry at Pantygwydr is exciting! Students form an integral part of the church’s life and make an important contribution to our fellowship and worship, being involved in youth activities, music ministries and home cells. The church welcomes new students and holds a number of student-centred events, including student lunch and a student cell group. The face to look out for is our student worker Graham Smith, who studied here in Swansea before taking on this role, so has a pretty good idea of what’s going on!

One of the highlights of the week is student lunch which enables you to spend time on Sundays with families from within the church. This helps lasting relationships to be developed, and also guarantees a good meal at least once a week! We also have a church lunch once a month that really helps you get to know other people in the fellowship, and get involved in church life.

International Students add a distinctive element to the mix of nations at Pantygwydr and find a particular welcome here. There is also an international choir which performs in various events both in Swansea and beyond, and we are involved with the Signpost Cafe which many internationals join and enjoy. They are both great ways of making friends and getting to know lots of people!

We are also part of the university chaplaincy team, and Graham can be found in the chaplaincy coffee lounge in Fulton House (on campus) every Thursday afternoon, ready to share a cup of tea and biscuit with anyone who needs a chat, a break or is looking to avoid writing essays!

The church encourages students to get involved in Christian mission. It operates a bursary scheme which provides financial support for students engaging in summer missions. Our aim for students is to develop their maturity in Christ and to equip them for Christian service. The church leadership team is available to provide help and support for students and can be contacted through the church office (01792) 459144.
